The 2011 Half Moon Bay Pacific Coast Dream Machines is always one of my favorite shows. There isn't an air show but it's tons of fun! Plus it's for a good cause because all the proceeds go to the Coastside Adult Day Health Center, which is a fantastic organization.
The car show side of the show had all kinds of cool cars, trucks, motorcycles, a half track, etc. The monster truck, the motocross riders, and the unicycle drag races are always huge crowd pleasers.
Every year something new shows up, like this year there was a Nike surface to air missile from the National Park Service SF-88, the worlds largest flame thrower, and the only N9M flying wing from Planes of Fame came.
My dad went up the day before the show on a photo flight and he got some great shots of the P-51 "Man-o-War" from the SoCal wing of the Commemorative Air Force, Ed Andreini Jr.'s Yak 9, and Kent Carlomagno's Yak 11.
The ride operators were very busy with long lines of people wanting to fly so there was a T6, a P-51, a Beech 18, and a D-25 New Standard, among all the other planes flying overhead all day long.
Who knows what will be there next year! To find out, be sure to be at the 2012 Half Moon Bay Pacific Coast Dream Machines. I guarantee you'll have a blast! See you there!
