The CJAA Jet Blast at the Yolo County Airport was hot! Yes, the weather was roasting but those kerosene burners really scorched the sky! Two T-33's including Greg Colyer's beautiful "Ace Maker" were there along with a Tudor like what the Canadian Snow Birds fly, and some L-29's and L-39's. A beautiful de Havilland Vampire and an Alpha Jet really added to the day.
This wasn't an air show. The members get together to do FAST training and currency, re-current training, safety briefs, they had an aerobatic area to practice in, and even air to air photo ops with photo aircraft over San Francisco.
I didn't get to go on a photo flight but I got some great shots on the ground.
The jet guys were really nice and I had a great time. I also got to see some of my good air show friends! So the CJAA Jet Blast was a BLAST!
