The sounds of the approaching MH-60S Seahawk’s rotor blades filled our ears as it flew past our heads and towards its parking spot at the Hiller Vertical Challenge 2012. Soon after, two CH-53 Super Stallions landed and taxied towards their spots, too. Lastly, a UH-1 Huey landed, bringing its signature loud noise!
The next day on Saturday, the show started. With gourmet food trucks such as Kara’s Cupcakes, Sam’s Chowdermobile, Senor Sisig, CurryUpNow, and more, this show was promising to be a good one. Along with the food trucks, there were booths too, like Paradise Shave Ice and lots more. The airshow was a blast too, with Otto the helicopter, Eddie Andreini, the Go Fast jetpack, a CHP demo and more.
The 2012 Hiller Vertical Challenge show was a real blast, and my dad and I had a great time. I highly recommend anyone to head over to Hiller Aviation Museum at San Carlos Airport for the 2013 Vertical Challenge. Hope to see you there next year!
